A "First" in Fujian

The first large-scale pipe manufacturer in the province of Fujian and the largest in Southern China. China's demand for big pipes is supplied by manufacturers based in the northern part of the country despite Fujian's strategic location and status as a highly-industrialized province.

Zhangzhou Stronghold Steel Works Company becomes the first seamless and spiral pipe producer in Fujian; thereby making possible and augmenting the supply of high-end pipe products to nearby areas more efficiently, more profitably and at better costs to customers.

Company-owned Port

On the drawing boards is a 20,000–ton port owned and to be operated by Zhangzhou Stronghold within the plant premises; an added advantage to the company, its suppliers and the end-users.

Other than enhanced efficiency and more convenience, the exclusive use of the port will bring gain to the company's customers and the consumers by way of flexible pricing on high-end products.

State-of-the-art Technologies

PE-coated Foreign Technology (Korea) Using a 3-layer coating technology, Zhangzhou Stronghold has the capability to produce spiral pipes out of Fujian, increasing the output of the province, which in the past has been importing this product from other manufacturers elsewhere in the country.

With the PE-coated technology, Zhangzhou Stronghold can coat pipes of up to 1,500mm in diameter: to date, the largest that can be produced in China.

SRM (Stretch Reduced Mill) Technology. Zhangzhou Stronghold adapts the use of this advanced technology in the production of seamless welded pipes with an annual output capacity of 200,000 tons.

Through the SRM technology, a state-of-the-art process introduced by ZZS in Southern China, welded pipes are stretched and reduced into seamless variety of different diameters and sizes.
